United States Government Employed Mathematicians Caught Fudging the Numbers in an Attempt to Prove the Planet is Warming
NASA had officially reported that the calendar year 1998 was the hottest year since records have been kept. Not so. A Warmer skeptic went behind them and checked the math. He discovered that 1934—not 1998 was the hottest year on record.
NASA—with oodles of Eggheads counting the beans now mind you—feigned ignorance. "An innocent mistake," they claimed. Nevertheless, the agency ordered a full data review.
A full month later, the NASA put out a revised list of all-time hottest years. And indeed, the Dust Bowl year of 1934 now ranks as hottest ever in the U.S.—not 1998.
More significantly, the agency had to reduce the mean U.S. "temperature anomalies" for the years 2000 to 2006 by 0.15 degrees Celsius.
What else? And I do mean what else have the Warmers lied about? How many more figures have they conjured and concocted to convince people that their pet theory, "Global Warming," is fact rather than wishful thinking on their part?
And guess what? This is not the first time all the mathematicians at NASA have been caught with bad numbers.
The same man who found this error also discovered that the so-called "hockey stick" graph depicting a spike in global temperatures from 1999, which Albert Gore used over and over in his propaganda film, "An Inconvenient Truth," was way off base.
This time, he sifted NASA's use of temperature anomalies, which measure how much warmer or colder a place is at a given time compared with its 30-year average.
Puzzled by a bizarre "jump" in the U.S. anomalies from 1999 to 2000, he discovered the data after 1999 wasn't being fractionally adjusted to allow for the times of day that readings were taken or the locations of the monitoring stations.
Again NASA had made it look as if they had proven global warming was taking place from 1999 on, when in fact since 1997 the earth's temperatures have been cooling.
NASA has corrected the figures, but the media have failed to report either the mistakes or the corrections. Obviously, these numbers go against everything they keep warning the world about. And the Left has never admitted to being wrong—ever!
