Crude oil and what it is used for

As many might know, Crude oil is being pumped up from the ground in the Middle East, the Americas, Asia, West Africa and Norway. This oil is then pumped into big ships which is called tankers and then sent to the different oil refineries in the world.

To refine crude oil is a very complex process. Refining normally begins as a simple distillation but refiners must use more sophisticated additional processes and equipment to produce the right mix which the market demands.
